Police in the North seized a large quantity of drugs and firearms during a planned search in Craigavon last night.

Police in the North seized a large quantity of drugs and firearms during a planned search in Craigavon last night.

One man is in custody and a second man was cautioned by detectives following the find during the search of two houses in the Parkmore area of Craigavon last night.

Police said drugs, with a street valued estimated at Stg £750,000, included ecstasy tablets, cocaine, herbal cannabis and cannabis resin and prescription drugs.

The guns included a revolver, pistol, improvised shotgun, stun gun and a replica firearm.

There was also a large quantity of assorted ammunition.

A substantial sum of money and a large quantity of cigarettes were also seized, said a police spokeswoman.
