The warning was issued in Lisburn after the man (26) was reported to have consumed an unknown quantity of the tablets, which bear a snowball motif. A number of other people were also treated for symptoms in hospital throughout the day.
They reportedly suffered changes to their heart rate, a feeling they were on the verge of collapse and drowsiness. Members of the public experiencing such symptoms after consuming the tablets were tonight urged to seek immediate medical help.
Police in Lisburn also asked anyone with information about the drugs to contact them.
Earlier today police in Limavady, Co Derry reported the seizure of cocaine with an estimated street value of £16,000 in a country park.
