Newcastle - Thousands of pro-hunt campaigners took to the streets yesterday to protest against the government's threat to ban hunting. The march, organised by the Countryside Alliance, got under way in Newcastle upon Tyne as demonstrators made their way from the city's main shopping area down to a rally at the Quayside. Organisers of the March North demonstration were hoping to attract around 15,000 people from across the north of England and Scotland.
