Hong Kong - A group of mainlanders staged the second day of a hunger strike yesterday as the Hong Kong government refused to grant the right of abode to those excluded from living here by a Beijing decision.

The 50 hunger strikers protested outside the Legislative Council building and tied strips of white cloth around their heads to "mourn the death of the rule of law".
