Racing:Punchestown officials are "confident" their meeting on Saturday will go ahead, despite calling a precautionary inspection for 8am.
With temperatures due to drop below freezing overnight, clerk of the course Richie Galway is erring on the side of caution.
He said: “We’re not that worried to be honest and we are confident the meeting will go ahead.
“We’ve called the 8am inspection because of the adverse weather forecast, and because it could drop below freezing we thought it prudent to check.

“We haven’t employed the frost covers, however. We’ve had clear skies all day today and it’s been about 7C but that could plummet.”
