The first 100 customers to arrive this morning for the post-Christmas sale at Clerys in Dublin will get a free breakfast.
The store opens at 9 a.m., with 30 per cent across the board reductions and up to 50 per cent off selected items.
The Brown Thomas sale also gets under way at 9 a.m., with reductions of between 30 per cent and 50 per cent on the main fashion lines in women's wear, men's wear and accessories.
Arnotts in Henry Street starts its sale at 1 p.m. , with 30 per cent off Jackpot, Henry White and Michel Ambers.
The Louis Copeland stores, in Capel Street, Pembroke Street and Wicklow Street, begin their sales at 9 a.m.
They will have from 25-50 per cent off selected items, with business suits costing €299.
The sale at Monaghan's Men's wear, in the Royal Hibernian Way, also starts at 9 a.m., with up to 25 per cent off selected items.
Other stores in the city centre also begin their sales today, attracting thousands of shoppers.
Suburban outlets will also begin their sales. At Gentlemen Please, in Main Street, Blackrock, and Adelaide Road, Sandycove, there will be 25 per cent off all stock and up to 50 per cent off selected items.
At Glynis Robins, Railway Road, Dalkey, all stock will be reduced by 20 per cent and selected knitwear by 50 per cent.
Meanwhile, Bus Éireann will operate a Sunday service today with some alterations. DART and Luas services will also operate a Sunday service.
