A tennis player is believed to have tested positive for drugs at the French Open, French Sports Minister Marie-George Buffet said today.
"There were more than 140 spot tests during the Roland Garros tournament and we don't have all the results yet but I think there was one positive result," Buffet told France Inter radio.
A ministry spokeswoman said tests were being carried out on the player's B sample. She would not identify the player.
The French Tennis Federation had no comment.
