Carthy (FG), McGuinness (FG) and ‘Ming’ perform in Euro vote

Sinn Féin, Fine Gael and Luke "Ming" Flanagan were performing strongly in the European election this afternoon in Cavan, with 55 per cent of boxes opened in the sector of the Midlands North West constituency.

So far, Matt Carthy (SF) is leading the field on 23 per cent, or 3,809 votes, with Mairead McGuinness (FG) on 18 per cent, or 3,048, and Mr Flanagan (Independent) on 14 per cent, or 2,302.
