Irish Water
Rose Hynes (chairwoman)
Ms Hynes is the chairwoman of both Ervia (formerly known as Bord Gáis) and Irish Water, to which she was appointed in July 2013. She has been chairwoman of Ervia since July, 2009, and also sits on its remuneration and investment and infrastructure committees. A lawyer by profession, she is also chairwoman of the Shannon Airport Authority and is a director of Total Produce and One Fifty One. She previously served on the boards of Fyffes, Aer Lingus and Concern, and held senior positions in the Guinness Peat Aviation group.
Michael McNicholas
Mr McNicholas is Ervia's chief executive, appointed to the position in May 2013. He joined from renewable energy company NTR, where he worked from 2010. He previously worked for the ESB for 26 years, where he was also an executive director.
John Tierney
Mr Tierney sits on the board in his capacity as managing director of the company. He was appointed to the post in July 2013. He was previously city manager in Dublin and Galway, and county manager in Fingal County Council.
Margaret Rae
Ms Rae, a research fellow at the Ryan Institute in NUI Galway, has worked as the principal scientist at Water Technologies Ireland and has postgraduate qualifications in environmental impact assessment and water and environment management. She has waived her €15,000 director fees.
Regina Finn
Ms Finn is a director of Lucerna Partners, a UK-based consultancy firm, and is also a non-executive chairwoman of Belfast- based company Mutual Energy Limited. She is a former chief executive of Ofwat, the regulator for water and wastewater services in England and Wales.
Billy Moore
Mr Moore was appointed to the board last November. He has worked for Eircom for 32 years and is a member of the Communications Workers' Union. He is chairman of the Labour Party in Longford-Westmeath. He has said he applied for the Irish Water board position following a public advertisement.
Jacqueline Hall
Ms Hall is the owner of Partners in Communication, a "business consultancy specialising in public affairs and stakeholder communications", according to the Irish Water website. She has also worked for the Rehab Group, and is a former council member of Dublin Chamber of Commerce. She was also appointed to the Ervia board in August this year.
Brian McKeown
Mr McKeown is a civil engineer who started work in Dublin County Council in 1974 before moving to Dublin City Council in 1992. He worked as a senior water engineer in the city council until his retirement in 2011.
Coleman Sheehy
Mr Sheehy is involved in property investment and previously worked with the Sherry FitzGerald estate agency. He is involved in property in Ireland, the UK and central and eastern Europe.

Laurence Crowley
Mr Crowley, a former governor of Bank of Ireland, is the senior independent non-executive director on the Ervia board. He is also chairman of the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI), Ecocem Materials and Realax Payments, and is a director of Aer Lingus and the Gate Theatre.
Joe O’Flynn
Mr O'Flynn is the general secretary of the Siptu trade union and is the nominated Ervia board member for its Employee Shareholder Ownership Plan (ESOP). He also sits on a number of internal company committees, including the risk and audit committees. A member of the Labour Party, he is a former lord mayor of Cork and is currently treasurer of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions and a member of the Ictu executive council.
Finbarr Kennelly
Mr Kennelly is finance and operations director with Kildare-based Golf Vacations Ireland and previously worked for the Gardiner Group, which distributes hardware and power tools, and Alcatel Business Systems. He is a former board member of the Housing Finance Agency.
Mari Hurley
Ms Hurley also sits on the board of Nama to which she was appointed last April. She is chief financial officer of Web Reservations International and previously worked with the Sherry FitzGerald group and Bear Sterns Bank. She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

John Tierney (managing director)
Jerry Grant
Mr Grant is head of asset management. He previously worked as managing director with RPS (Ireland South), which advised Dublin City Council on the Poolbeg thermal treatment project when Mr Tierney was city manager. RPS is a major international consultancy that advises on energy and other major infrastructure projects.
Elizabeth Arnett
As head of communications and corporate services, she represents Irish Water in the media. Irish Water has said both Ms Arnett and Mr Grant were employed following an open recruitment process.
Paul O’Donoghue
Mr O’Donoghue, head of customer relations, previously worked with Ervia, Irish Water’s parent company.
Ray O’Dwyer
Before taking up the position as Irish Water's head of operations and maintenance, Mr O'Dwyer was appointed by then minister Phil Hogan to work on an efficiency group for local government. He is a former Waterford county manager.
