THE Fianna Fail policy on islands proposes:
. provision of services at a comparable price to those on the mainland;
. setting up full time development groups on all islands;
. providing primary and secondary education where possible on islands;
. introducing reduced road tax for islanders;
. easing welfare assessment and medical card criteria for islanders;
. ensuring regular attendance of specialist medical staff on islands;
. upgrading and subsidising ferry services, landing points;
. providing financial help for students studying on mainland to return home frequently.
