Police have named the man who was found beaten to death in a flat in Belfast yesterday as Michael Kearney (39), of no fixed abode.

Police began a murder inquiry following the discovery of the man’s body in the living room of a flat at Friendly Place in the Markets area. They said he died in a "particularly brutal" attack.

Two men who were arrested and questioned about the killing yesterday are still being held by police.
