A post-mortem is being carried out today on an elderly man found in his Co Tyrone home amid police suspicions he died during a burglary.

The body of the pensioner, named locally as Mr Patrick McGrath (75), was discovered beside his seriously injured sister Philomena when police called at their house near Coalisland yesterday.

She was taken to hospital where she was today reported to be in a stable condition.

A PSNI spokesman said: "We are investigating the possibility that there may have been a burglary at the address."
