WARSAW - Polish priests yesterday defended the decision to deny a Catholic burial to a prominent pro abortion gynaecologist last week in the city of Lodz.
An Episcopate spokesman, Bishop Tndeusz Pieronek, issued a statement defending the church's refusal to give Prof Waclaw Dec a Catholic burial, but the Polish media has criticised the decision.
