Three and two day weeks along with an enforced two week Christmas holiday were among the proposals under consideration yesterday by employees of the Luxottica sunglass manufacturing plant in Waterford.
The plans announced by management prompted an urgent meeting of the 300 workers at the former Rayban plant about the latest development in restructuring which has already resulted in 75 redundancies.
The judge gave the defendants a three-year sentence, suspended for three years.
