A pipe bomb has exploded in Derry, police confirmed tonight.
The device went off in the Bond Street area.
A PSNI spokeswoman said army bomb experts had been called to the scene and were preparing a report on the incident.
She said a motive for the attack was being investigated.
Police have also appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
