Police in Northern Ireland are investigating a petrol bomb attack on a house in Maghera, Co Derry last night.

Police in Northern Ireland are investigating a petrol bomb attack on a house in Maghera, Co Derry last night.

The attack happened shortly after 11:30 p.m. when two petrol bombs were thrown at the property in Beagh Terrace.

Police found a burnt-out device, which caused scorch damage at the front of the house, and another partially burnt at the rear.

A couple and their three children, aged 14, 18 and 24, who are living in the house escaped unhurt.

A motive for the attack has still to be established.
