Pedestrian killed after being struck by car

A middle-aged man was killed in a road traffic accident in the Dublin suburbs in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A middle-aged man was killed in a road traffic accident in the Dublin suburbs in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The man was struck by a car as he crossed Templeogue Road, near the junction with Fortfield Road. The accident occurred at about 1.30 a.m.

The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to Tallaght

Hospital but he died a short time later.

Gardaí are withholding his name until relatives are informed.
