Senator George Mitchell is to be presented with a peace award for his efforts to foster a political settlement in Northern Ireland.
The chairman of the multiparty talks is receiving it from, Co Operation North, a cross Border body set up to foster better relations between the North and the Republic.
It will be presented to him by the President, Mrs Robinson, at the annual dinner of the organisation in the Plaza Hotel, New York, on Monday.
