PDs nominate poll candidate

The Progressive Democrats have selected Cllr Joe Burke to contest the Galway East constituency in the next general election. The leader of the Progressive Democrats, Ms Mary Harney, welcomed the candidacy, saying Cllr Burke would secure a seat. Cllr Burke lives with his wife, Anne, and nine children in Tuam.
