Passenger killed in collision with RUC vehicle

A man aged 21 was killed when the stolen car in which he was travelling collided with an RUC landrover this morning.

A man aged 21 was killed when the stolen car in which he was travelling collided with an RUC landrover this morning.

The collision happened at around 1 a.m. this morning the Whiterock Road in west Belfast.

Five others in the stolen car were taken to hospital but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The RUC say they were not in pursuit of the car at the time and that the three officers in the landrover were treated for minor injuries and shock.
