A 39-year-old man sustained gunshot wounds in his feet in an apparent paramilitary-style assault in a village in the Co Down last night.
The wounded man has been taken to hospital. The shooting happened in the village of Killough at 7 p.m. last night when the man and two companions got out of a car. They were approached by two masked men, one of whom armed with a handgun.
They dragged the wounded man into a van before driving him to a sports ground where the shooting took place.
