The Irish Association of Pension Funds has welcomed the Budget proposals to look at insurance cover for future care needs and the package of measures aimed at the elderly and retired.
"We have been lobbying for increases in the State pension for a number of years and it is gratifying to see the Minister today break the £100 per week barrier," it said.
