Following the release of Mr A, there are a further 12 men currently in prison convicted of the same crime - the statutory rape of a girl under 15.

Six of them were convicted solely of the rape of a girl under 15. The other six men were convicted of statutory rape and a number of other offences. If any of these men have been in jail for long enough to have fully served any lesser sentences for their other convictions, they could now seek to be released. If they still have some time to run on any shorter sentences for other offences, they could seek to have their release dates brought forward.
