MANAGUA - One week before Nicaraguans vote for a new president, a poll released yesterday said the left wing former president, Mr Daniel Ortega, had moved ahead of his right wing rival, Mr Arnoldo Aleman. The CINCO S.A. poll gave Mr Ortega, who led Nicaragua's Marxist Sandinista government from 1979 to 1990, 36.7 per cent of the vote and Mr Aleman 33.9 per cent of the vote.
