One person is missing after heavy rains caused a mudslide that flooded a tiny village on Italy’s Amalfi coast.

Video footage showed several feet of mud flowing through the village of Atrani, damaging cars and shop fronts.

Officials said a small river close to the village had broken its banks.

Brunella Cimadomo of the Civil Protection Department said a woman (25) was missing after the coffee bar where she worked was flooded.

Ms Cimadomo said the rain had abated but more was expected in the coming days.
