A man has died and three people have been injured in separate incidents on Northern Ireland’s roads.

A man has died and three people have been injured in separate incidents on Northern Ireland’s roads.

The man died after the car he was driving struck a gatepost on the Shaws Road in Belfast. Two passengers in the car were injured in the incident which occurred at around 6 a.m.

Earlier in the morning, a man in his 40s was hurt in a hit-and-run in North Belfast. The man was struck by a car at around 4 a.m. which was later found burnt-out Tiger’s Bay. He was taken to hospital where his injuries are thought not to be life threatening.

The Police are appealing for information in relation to both incidents.
