A man has died following a helicopter crash in Co Galway today.
A garda spokesperson said the man, who was in his 50s, was a passenger on the helicopter which crashed in the Derrybrian area, near Loughrea around midday.
Two other men were injured in the crash. One man is reported to be in a serious condition in University Hospital Galway. The condition of the third man is not know.
An air accident investigation has been launched.
