One dead, six injured in Wicklow bus collision

One man was killed and six people were injured this evening when a bus collided with a car in Co Wicklow.

One man was killed and six people were injured this evening when a bus collided with a car in Co Wicklow.

The collision occurred just south of Arklow on the main Dublin to Wexford road shortly before 5pm.

The man who was killed is understood to have been the sole occupant of the car. His body was removed from the scene to Wexford General Hospital.

Bus Éireann confirmed there were 25 passengers on the bus, six of whom were treated for minor injuries. The bus was travelling from Dublin to Rosslare when it collided with the car.
