Old Mutual said today shareholders representing 92.4 per cent of its stock voted in favour of the South African insurer's $5 billion-plus hostile bid for Swedish financial services group Skandia.
South Africa's largest insurer tabled a cash and share offer for Skandia in September.
Skandia's board has rejected the bid, but their shareholders have until December 16th to accept it.
