NEW YORK - Some senior National Transportation Safety Board officials now say they believe mechanical failure caused the TWA flight explosion on July 17th, the New York Times has reported. It said that Dr Bernard Loeb, director of aviation safety for the NTSB, said last week that the missile and bomb theories were now a "lower probability".
