One of the breakout stars of this year's Late Late Toy Show was undoubtedly Johnny O'Loughlin, the eight-year-old from Ennis who loved the weather and idolised forecaster Evelyn Cusack.
Now Johnny has been given the chance to deliver his very own weather report.
RTÉ invited the young weather fanatic, who even made his own meteorological board game, to deliver a very special Christmas forecast.
In the clip, uploaded by the broadcaster to YouTube, Johnny delivers updates on Santa's progress and gives sensible advice on how to behave on Christmas night.
"It is important to remember that Santa does not deliver presents to the children who are still awake, so, if you are still awake when he arrives, he will move on and you will disrupt his journey.
“So make sure you get to sleep early on Christmas Eve.
“The weather is very unpredictable at the moment but we are not expecting anything that Santa cannot handle.”
Johnny was also reunited with his hero Evelyn Cusack for the clip, who had surprised him on the Late Late Toy Show.
The veteran broadcaster was on hand to offer tips and guidance to the precocious forecaster, making sure he breezed through his debut.
