Snooker:Ronnie O'Sullivan is a strong favourite to claim a fourth world crown despite an afternoon rally from his opponent Ali Carter in the Betfred.com World Championship final at the Crucible in Sheffield. The 'Rocket' had eked out a 14-7 lead but Carter managed to win three of the last four frames this afternoon to trail 15-10 going into tonight's final session.

Leading 10-7 overnight, O’Sullivan began with a break of 101 and then punished a flurry of Carter mistakes as he extended his advantage to 14-7 in the race to 18 frames and courted the possibility of claiming the tile with a session to spare. However Carter showed his fighting qualities but still faces a tough ask if he is to stop his fellow Englishman from taking the title.
