The forward sat out the win over Longford in the second round but hasn’t shaken off a hamstring injury in time to face the Orchard County.

His absence comes after Owen Mulligan opted out of the Tyrone panel due to lack of competitive action.

The good news for Mickey Harte is that Kevin Hughes and Martin Swift are expected to be available for the Healy Park game after both missed out against Longford.
