Westmeath 1-05 Meath 1-15:A 10 point defeat to neighbours Meath in phase two of the All-Ireland qualifiers prompted Westmeath manager Tomás O'Flatharta to resign.

Meath were never really troubled and led by 1-05 to 0-03 at the break thanks to a goal from David Bray and points from Cian Ward and Stephen Brady.

Martin Flanagan instilled some hope for Westmeath after being brought on in the second half to score 1-01 but Ward and Joe Sheridan added two apiece to keep the Lake County at arms length and end O’Flatharta’s reign.

In Aughrim, Wicklow were deserved winners over Cavan by 1-12 to 0-8.

Donegal and Down, however, saw off Clare and Laois respectively to ensure they're in the hat for tomorrow's draw for the next round.
