Kerry corner forward Dara O’Cinneide has announced his retirement from inter-county football at the age of 30.

Kerry corner forward Dara O’Cinneide has announced his retirement from inter-county football at the age of 30.

O’Cinneide was the last captain to lift an All-Ireland for the Kingdom when he did so in 2004 . He was an integral part of three Kerry teams that brought the Sam Maguire back down to Killarney.

O’Cinneide, who made his debut for Kerry against Donegal in 1994, won two under-21medals, two national league titles and two senior county championships with clubside An Ghaeltacht.
