Aidan O'Brien has taken High Chaparral and Hawk Wing out of the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes at Ascot on July 27th at today's forfeit stage.

The Ballydoyle trainer has other plans for the pair with English and Irish Derby hero High Chaparral being saved for an autumn campaign to include the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

Hawk Wing is likely to stick to a mile and a quarter in the Juddmonte International Stakes at York next month following his victory in the Coral Eurobet Eclipse Stakes at Sandown last Saturday.

But O'Brien still has five horses in the £750,000 showpiece - the five-year-old Bach and four three-year-olds, Century City, Creekview, Della Francesca and Quarter Moon.

Godolphin are responsible for seven of the 25 horses to stand their ground.

They include Sakhee, winner of last season's Arc, and Grandera, successful in the Singapore Airlines International Cup and the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot
