Media ownership in Ireland requires scrutiny, says National Union of Journalists Irish secretary Séamus Dooley.

Mr Dooley was speaking at a press conference in Dublin prompted by the closure of the Irish-language newspaper Foinse.

Mr Dooley said it was “clear that the models of control and ownership required scrutiny if diversity was to become more than a pious aspiration”.
