The National Symphony Orchestra is to perform in Kerry for the first time. The RT╔ orchestra will participate in a community residency in Dingle and Tralee next week in a series of educational workshops for primary and secondary schoolchildren. The emphasis will be on showing the children how instruments work and how they fit in with the orchestra.
The NSO will also present two concerts next week at the Tralee sports and leisure complex and St Mary's church in Dingle.
Mr Niall Doyle, director of music at RT╔, said he was confident the workshops in Kerry would lead to similar projects elsewhere.
