NIB bank in Dublin city centre robbed

Two masked man have escaped with an undisclosed sum of money from a bank in Dublin's city centre.

Two masked man have escaped with an undisclosed sum of money from a bank in Dublin's city centre.

The men are understood to have entered the National Irish Bank on College Green shortly before 2.30 p.m.

Both men were wearing balaclavas and one was brandishing a meat cleaver. The two later made their getaway on foot in the direction of the Halfpenny Bridge.

There were no shots fired and no one was injured in the incident.
