Postal services in Northern Ireland will return to normal over the next few days, as postal workers have voted to end their unofficial strike.

The six-day action, which started in Belfast but has affected deliveries across the North, has led to a backlog of over one million items, which will take several days to clear.

The dispute was over the introduction 10 weeks ago of new work practices.
