Northern Ireland Assembly members will today debate allegations that IRA members were involved in the murder of a man along the Border.

South Armagh man Paul Quinn was lured over the Border last October and beaten to death by a gang,

MLAs will vote on an SDLP motion condemning the murder, which took place in an farm building in Co Monaghan and denying suggestions that the 21-year-old victim was involved in criminality.

In the wake of Mr Quinn's murder, his family alleged IRA members were involved and they were angered by suggestions by senior Sinn Féin members, including Gerry Adams, that the murder was linked to fuel smuggling.

Earlier this month, the Dáil heard Minister for Justice Brian Lenihan demand full co-operation with the police investigation.
