The president of the Methodist Church in Ireland, the Rev Kenneth Todd, has announced details of the first theology course to be taught jointly by Protestant and Catholic colleges.
He said the development would be part of plans to establish Edgehill Theological College in Belfast as a major centre for the promotion of peace and reconciliation.
The Mater Dei Institute in Dublin will be jointly teaching the course.
