A new director of the National Forum on Europe has been appointed.
Ann Barrington will replace Geraldine Byrne Nason who has been appointed to the Permanent Representation of Ireland to the European Union in Brussels.
Ms Barrington worked on EU issues while in the Department of the Taoiseach and the Department for Foreign Affairs.
She also worked as Ireland's delegate to the United Nations in New York on development issues from 1997 to 2001.
