Two new childcare guides for parents have been introduced by Barnardos. Get It right: A Parent's Guide To Choosing Quality Day Care looks at areas such as activities, daily routines, play equipment and interaction between staff and children.
Check It Out: A Parent's Guide To Pre-school Regulations is aimed at parents or guardians who may be considering alternative pre-school childcare. The guides, written by Ms Marian Dowd, a childcare development worker, are available free from the National Children's Resource Centre, Barnardos, Christchurch Square, Dublin.
