The €1 million Wolfe Tone Memorial Park at Jervis Street was opened by the new Dublin City Lord Mayor, Cllr Dermot Lacey.

An international competition was held for designs to reshape the park as part of HARP Urban Renewal Project. Architect Mr Peter Cody won the competition and pursued an open-plaza approach.
