NCEA awards presented

The National Council for Educational Awards (NCEA) presented five of its annual awards at a ceremony in Dublin yesterday.

The National Council for Educational Awards (NCEA) presented five of its annual awards at a ceremony in Dublin yesterday.

Garda Keith Goff of Fitzgibbon Street Garda Station was presented with the 1997 Duais na Gaeilge prize. The prize for 1998 was presented to Ms Deirdre Anne Quinn from St Nicholas Montessori College, Dun Laoghaire.

Other winners were: Ms Oonagh Sweeney, Cobh - the Marketing Institute prize; Ms Cora Crisham, Tuam, Co Galway - the NCEA prize for design; Mr Michael Charles Moriarty, Waterford Institute of Technology - the Harbison Memorial Prize; Ms Linda Jemima Morrison, National College of Art and Design - the Larkin Memorial Prize.
