A Spanish fishing vessel has been detained by the Naval Service over a series of alleged infringements.
The LE Eithnewas on routine patrol when it detained the vessel, the Nuevo Apenio, around 150 miles south of Cork Harbour for alleged failure to facilitate inspection, illegal net attachements and an incorrect boarding ladder.
The vessel will be escorted to Castletownbere where it is expected to arrive early tomorrow morning.
