The name of a six-year-old Co Meath boy killed last night in an incident involving the family car outside his house has been released.
Sean Farrell died instantly when a teenaged family member was moving the family car. The vehicle jumped forward, hitting and fatally injuring the boy.
An aunt who was also struck is in a critical condition in Our Lady's hospital Navan following the incident.
Gardaí said the incident happened at around 7pm in Oldcastle.
