Na Fianna will face St. Vincent's in the Dublin club championship semi-finals after the threat of expulsion was lifted at a meeting of the Dublin GAC last night.

Na Fianna's participation had been in doubt following an objection by Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh to their fielding of player Gary Mullin in last Saturday's quarter-final.

The Navan road club had claimed Mullin's transfer from Mayo to Dublin is void as he was living in Chicago at the time and he played in two championships in the same season.

However, St. Oliver Plunkett's appeal was rejected last night.

Mullins will not be involved in the semi-final, as it happens, as a separate disciplinary hearing saw him lose his appeal against a 12-week ban he received following a sending off in Chicago during the summer.
