North Korea today indicated it had reactivated its nuclear facilities for the production of electricity.

North Korea today indicated it had reactivated its nuclear facilities for the production of electricity.

"The DPRK is now putting the operation of its nuclear facilitiesfor the production of electricity on a normal footing after theirrestart," a foreign ministry spokesman said told theofficial Korean Central News Agency.

"The DPRK government has already solemnly declared that itsnuclear activity would be limited to the peaceful purposes includingthe production of electricity at the present stage," he said.
